Sven builds thoughtful tools for real problems

Independent product design and iOS development from the Netherlands. Two apps, one way of working: slow decisions, quiet interfaces, honest claims.

The studio

I design and build small, focused apps end to end — research, interface, code, copy and support. No team, no roadmap theatre; just problems worth solving and the time to solve them properly.

Right now that means two products: Ephemora, a night-photography planning companion that brings weather, darkness and astronomy into one clear view, and Pinned, a to-do list that stays out of your way.

Calm

Software should lower your heart rate. No badges begging for attention, no dark patterns, no noise you didn’t ask for.

Crafted

Every screen gets the same care as the first one. Details, wording and timing are part of the product, not polish added later.

Trustworthy

Clear about what data is used and why. What an app claims in the store is what it actually does on your phone.

Building now

Ephemora is now in public beta.

A public TestFlight build is available now. Join the beta, take Ephemora into real nights, and help shape what comes next. Public App Store release timing depends on what testing turns up.

Requires iOS version 18.0 or newer on iPhone.

Apps

Two products, each with its own audience, accent and pace.

Ephemora

Public beta

Know when the night is worth it.

Ephemora combines weather, darkness and astronomy to help you find the best nearby time and place for night photography.

Pinned

On the App Store

A to-do list that stays out of your way.

Pinned is a calm, deliberately small to-do list for iOS. Capture a task in a couple of taps, tick it off, and get on with your day — no accounts to juggle, no projects to manage, no productivity theatre.

About Sven

I’m a designer and developer who ended up building the apps I kept wishing existed. Most of my work sits at the point where a clear interface and a stubborn technical problem meet.

Outside of that: photography, long walks after sunset, and an ongoing argument with the Dutch weather forecast.
